About JFCA (Japanese Food and Culture Association)

General and Specific Purposes

The purpose of this Corporation is to engage in any lawful act or activity, other than credit union business, for which a corporation may be organized under such law. Without limiting the foregoing, the specific objective of this Corporation is to conduct the following activities:

  1. To inform members of the general public about Japanese food culture, its potential health benefits, quality and availability in the United States;
  2. To organize events, including but not limited to Japanese Food & Sake Festival, to promote Japanese food culture in the United States;
  3. To promote and enhance awareness and acceptance of Japanese food culture in the United States;
  4. To engage in market research and collect, analyze, and make available to its members and members of the general public pertinent information and data regarding Japanese food culture in the United States;
  5. To represent the interests of its members, if any, and those individuals and entities who contribute directly or indirectly, to Japanese food culture in the United States; and
  6. To do all things necessary or appropriate, in the judgment of this Corporation’s Board, to accomplish any one or more of the foregoing objectives.
