General and Specific Purposes
The purpose of this Corporation is to engage in any lawful act or activity, other than credit union business, for which a corporation may be organized under such law. Without limiting the foregoing, the specific objective of this Corporation is to conduct the following activities:
- To inform members of the general public about Japanese food culture, its potential health benefits, quality and availability in the United States
- To organize events, including but not limited to Japanese Food & Sake Festival, to promote Japanese food culture in the United States
- To promote and enhance awareness and acceptance of Japanese food culture in the United States
- To engage in market research and collect, analyze, and make available to its members and members of general public pertinent information and data regarding Japanese food culture in the United States
- To represent the interests of its members, if any, and those individuals and entities who contribute directly or indirectly, to Japanese food culture in the United States
- To do all things necessary or appropriate, in the judgment of this Corporation’s Board, to accomplish any one or more of the foregoing objectives
